Kumamoto
Winery
Not
just winery, but a small village of little shops as well. We got to see the machine that bottles the
wine, and afterwards we killed two hours running around finding stuff to
do. There was even a nearby market that
sold gargantuan green onions at 80 yen a pop!
We even had a wine tasting and sampled some wine-flavored ice cream.
Saishun
Kan Seiyaku… Saishun Kan Seiyaku…
Saishun Kan Seiyaku….
A wrinkle cream factory. That doesn’t sound very interesting, until
you find out a month later that the place is owned by the yakuza. And Baba sensei was relentless in teaching us
how to pronounce the name.
Kyudo!
Yay! Kyudo! Japanese archery! Kelsee is practicing with the training tool that newbies have to use for months before they can even draw a real bow.
.
Kikuchi
One of
the best and most beautiful field trips we took this semester. Kikuchi is famous for its waterfalls, or just
water in general. Along with beautiful
green forests.
